{"id":11397,"date":"2023-05-15T16:24:13","date_gmt":"2023-05-15T20:24:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/virginiawestern.staging.tempurl.host\/iet-services\/?page_id=11397&#038;preview_id=11397"},"modified":"2024-07-20T16:35:25","modified_gmt":"2024-07-20T20:35:25","slug":"roster-wait-list","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.virginiawestern.edu\/iet-services\/myvwcc-help\/roster-wait-list\/","title":{"rendered":"Using the Class Roster to View Wait List Students"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><div class=\"printfriendly pf-button  pf-alignright\">\n                    <a href=\"https:\/\/www.virginiawestern.edu\/iet-services\/myvwcc-help\/roster-wait-list\/?pfstyle=wp\" rel=\"nofollow\" onclick=\"\" title=\"Printer Friendly, PDF & Email\">\n                    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pf-button-img\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.printfriendly.com\/buttons\/print-button-gray.png\" alt=\"Print Friendly, PDF & Email\" style=\"width: 66px;height: 24px;\"  \/>\n                    <\/a>\n                <\/div><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Wait List function allows students to place themselves on a Wait List for a class section that is full and be given a position number.&nbsp; If seats become available in the class section, the waitlist process will run to auto-enroll students according to their Wait List position number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Wait List function also:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Keeps a running list of students who want to enroll in a full class.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automatically attempts to enroll students in request order as space becomes available, on a first-on first-off basis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Requires no direct faculty effort.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Wait List function is not currently available for all class sections.&nbsp; For those class sections where a Wait List is available, the instructor can view waitlisted students by accessing their class roster through the self-service Faculty Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To view the roster for a class, you must be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.virginiawestern.edu\/iet-services\/myvwcc-help\/logging-in-to-myvwcc\/\">logged into MyVWCC<\/a> and inside the Student Information System.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click <strong>Faculty Center<\/strong>, then <strong>My Schedule<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your schedule for the designated term will be displayed. If needed, click <strong>change term<\/strong>. Select the correct term and click <strong>CONTINUE<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>Class Roster <\/strong>icon in the <strong>My Teaching Schedule<\/strong> area of the page. The Class Roster page for the class will be displayed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When the class roster is displayed, the Enrollment Status defaults to <strong>Enrolled<\/strong>. If students are on the Wait List for the class, the Enrollment Status drop-down will include a choice of <strong>All<\/strong> or <strong>Waiting<\/strong>.
